QUALITY BY DEFINITION

Quality Is a Process, Not a Final Claim

When a container arrives, it is too late to discover that the shade, dimensions, finish, or packing do not match what was approved.

That is why Ceraglow treats quality as a chain of decisions rather than one inspection at the end. The product requirement must be clear. The approved reference must be understood. Production must stay within the agreed controls. Finished tiles must be reviewed before they are sorted, packed, and prepared for shipment.

For buyers, this approach provides something more useful than the phrase “strict quality control”: a clearer way to define what will be accepted and what evidence can be reviewed before the order leaves the factory.

Five Quality Gates Behind Every Order

    Specification and Approval Control

Quality begins before the production line starts.

Ceraglow reviews the product type, application, dimensions, thickness, surface, colour direction, edge, performance requirements, packing, destination market, and approved reference for the order.

The goal is to remove ambiguity. If the buyer and factory are judging the product against different expectations, a final inspection cannot solve the underlying problem.

    • Product specification
    • Approved sample, image, drawing, or collection reference
    • Appearance and shade expectations
    • Dimensions, thickness, edge, and surface requirements
    • Product tests or destination-market documentation
    • Packing, labels, markings, and pallet requirements
    • Inspection and acceptance criteria

    In-Process Quality Checks

Tile quality is affected before the product reaches final sorting. Ceraglow applies checks at relevant manufacturing control points so visible or measurable issues can be identified earlier.

    • Material preparation and formulation records
    • Forming condition and green-body appearance
    • Dimensions and moisture at relevant stages
    • Glaze, print, surface, and colour direction
    • Firing conditions and line settings
    • Finishing and edge-processing results

    Finished-Tile Inspection

After production, finished tiles are checked against the applicable specification and approved reference.

Not every test applies to every tile. The product, intended use, destination market, and buyer specification determine which requirements must be confirmed.

    • Length, width, thickness, and squareness
    • Flatness and visible deformation
    • Surface appearance and finish
    • Shade, pattern, and design consistency
    • Edge condition
    • Chips, cracks, pinholes, contamination, or other visible defects
    • Product-specific physical performance information

    Sorting and Batch Control

Even when individual tiles meet the basic product requirement, an order still needs to work as a consistent batch.

Ceraglow sorts finished products according to the applicable order and product criteria before packing. Product identification and batch information help buyers manage receiving, installation, replenishment, and any later quality review.

For projects where shade or dimensional consistency is especially important, tell us before quotation. The acceptance requirement, reference, production arrangement, and documentation should be agreed before the order begins.

    Packing and Pre-Shipment Review

A correctly manufactured tile can still arrive damaged or difficult to identify if the order is packed or marked incorrectly.

Buyers may also discuss an order-specific pre-shipment inspection or third-party review before confirming commercial terms.

    • Product and quantity
    • Carton identification
    • Batch or order markings
    • Private-label artwork where required
    • Packing method
    • Pallet condition and markings
    • Destination and shipping information
    • Agreed inspection or documentation requirements

BUYER-SPECIFIC PRIORITIES

What Quality Means for Different Buyers

Container terminal prepared for ceramic tile export logistics and distribution

Importers and Distributors

You need a product that matches the approved range, arrives clearly identified, and can be reordered with less uncertainty. Focus on specifications, shade and calibre control, batch information, packing, and repeat-order references.

Private-label ceramic tile samples and unbranded packaging arranged for material selection

Building-Material Brands

Your reputation is printed on the carton. Define the product, private-label artwork, acceptance criteria, documentation, and escalation process before production.

Developers and Contractors

Installation schedules leave little room for preventable variation or replacement delays. Confirm project specifications, approved samples, quantities, batch requirements, inspection scope, and delivery plan early.

Architectural drawings and ceramic tile samples arranged for surface specification

Architects and Designers

The final surface must preserve the approved visual direction while meeting the practical requirements of the application. Align appearance, format, finish, edge, performance, and replacement planning.
